主办与承办Organizers主办：清华大学；承办：清华大学丘成桐数学科学中心；上海数学与交叉学科研究院支持。2008 年由丘成桐先生创立，至今 18 届累计逾 17,200 支队伍参赛。Hosted by Tsinghua University and run by its Yau Mathematical Sciences Center, with support from the Shanghai Institute for Mathematics and Interdisciplinary Sciences. Founded by Shing-Tung Yau in 2008; over 17,200 teams have entered across eighteen editions.
六大单项奖Six subject awards数学奖（2008 年首设）、物理奖（2013）、生物奖与化学奖（2016）、计算机奖（2017）、经济金融建模奖（2018）。Mathematics (from 2008), physics (2013), biology and chemistry (2016), computer science (2017), and economics & finance modeling (2018).
科学金奖Science Gold Award跨学科最高荣誉，从六科金奖得主中评出，每年 1 名。The overall top honour, chosen each year from among the six subject gold medallists.
诺特数学奖Noether Mathematics Award2025 年增设，面向女子中学生的数学赛道（前身为丘成桐女子中学生数学竞赛），已纳入本奖体系，但报名入口与总赛不同。Added in 2025 as a mathematics track for girls (formerly the Yau Girls' Mathematics Contest). It sits inside this award family but has its own registration channel.

- 中国内地赛区仅限高中在校生，初中生不可报名。港澳台及海外学生请走亚洲赛区或北美赛区。In the mainland division, only students currently enrolled in high school may enter; middle-school students may not. Students in Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan or overseas enter through the Asia or North America divisions.
- 每队 1–3 名学生，须来自同一所中学，不得跨校组队。Teams of one to three students, all from the same school; cross-school teams are not allowed.
- 每队可有 1–2 位指导老师。One or two supervising teachers per team.
- 指导老师可来自中学、高校或科研机构，但不得来自公司、培训机构或任何营利机构；违规可取消资格与名次。The supervisor may come from a school, a university or a research institute, but not from a company, a training business or any profit-making organisation; a breach can void both entry and result.
- 可以报名多个学科，但须另行注册账号，且必须用不同的论文 —— 同一篇论文不得参加两个科目。You may enter more than one subject, but each needs a separate account and a different paper; one paper may not be entered in two subjects.
- 全程免费：官网明文「注册报名免费，全程不收取任何名目的费用」。Free throughout: the official wording is that registration is free and no fee of any kind is charged.

以下为官网公布的中国内地赛区日程。官网注明「日程以最终通知为准」。The mainland division's published schedule. The official site notes that it is subject to the final notice.
网上注册报名及提交参赛材料Registration and submission2026-07-01 — 09-15 24:001 Jul – 15 Sep 2026, 24:00报名与论文提交是同一个截止日 —— 不是先报名、后交论文。Registration and paper submission share one deadline — you do not register first and submit later.
参赛材料审核Document review2026-09-16 — 09-3016–30 Sep 2026
分赛区评审Regional judging2026-10-01 — 11-021 Oct – 2 Nov 2026内地设南部、北部赛区；数学奖另设东部赛区。The mainland has a southern and a northern region; mathematics has an eastern region as well.
入围名单与研究报告网上公示Shortlist and reports published2026-11-03 — 11-103–10 Nov 2026入围名单与研究报告一并公示。The shortlist and the reports themselves are posted for public inspection.
全球总决赛暨颁奖典礼（清华大学）Global final and ceremony, Tsinghua2026-12-05 — 12-065–6 Dec 2026总决赛为英文答辩；12 月 6 日另有科学论坛。The final is defended in English; a science forum follows on 6 December.
评审流程The judging pipeline
1报名并提交材料Register and submit在官网注册账号，上传研究报告与相关材料。Create an account on the official site and upload the research report and supporting materials.
2材料审核Document review组委会核对资格与材料完整性。The committee checks eligibility and completeness.
3分赛区评审Regional judging分四步：初筛 → 函评 → 桌评 → 分赛区决赛。分赛区决赛答辩无特殊语言要求，可用中文。Four stages: screening, written review, panel review, then the regional final. The regional final's defence has no language requirement — Chinese is fine.
4公示Publication入围名单与研究报告网上公示。The shortlist and the reports are published for inspection.
5全球总决赛Global final在清华大学进行英文答辩，评出各科金银铜奖、优胜奖，并从六科金奖中评出科学金奖。Defended in English at Tsinghua. Gold, silver, bronze and honourable-mention awards are decided in each subject, and the Science Gold Award is chosen from the six gold medallists.
研究报告：提交什么What you actually submit
- 形式是一份 PDF 研究报告。没有笔试，没有标准答案。The submission is a PDF research report. There is no written examination and no answer key.
- 语言：官方鼓励英文；总决赛之前中英文不强制，但 12 月全球总决赛必须提交英文报告并用英文答辩。Language: English is encouraged. Before the final either language is accepted, but the December global final requires an English report and an English defence.
- 数学奖报告的结构要求：至少一页摘要、问题背景综述、方法介绍、参考文献，并明确区分背景材料与原创内容。For mathematics, the report needs at least a one-page abstract, a review of the problem's background, an account of the methods, and references — and it must clearly separate background material from original work.
- 篇幅与字数上限：官网规则页未作规定，未能在官网核实。Length limits: the rules page sets none, so this is not verifiable on the official site.
「明确区分背景材料与原创内容」这一条，是数学奖评审里被反复强调的技术性要求。很多报告失分不是因为做得少，而是因为读者分不清哪一部分是作者自己做的。写作时把「已有工作」和「我们的工作」分节写清楚，是成本最低的加分方式。"Clearly separate background from original work" is the technical requirement the mathematics judges stress most. Many reports lose ground not because they achieve little, but because a reader cannot tell which part the authors did. Putting "existing work" and "our work" in separate, clearly labelled sections is the cheapest improvement available.
数学奖的九项评审标准The nine judging criteria for mathematics
对建模方向的同学，这一节最值得逐条对照。For students coming from a modeling background, this is the section to read line by line.
- 学科相关性 —— 纯数学、应用数学、统计、概率均可，重点在数学方法本身的创新性。Subject relevance — pure mathematics, applied mathematics, statistics and probability all qualify; the emphasis is on novelty in the mathematics itself.
- 原创性 —— 应是全新问题，或对未经验证的猜想的探讨，并须给出背景文献。官方特别说明：学界已公认知晓、只是参赛队自己不知道的问题，不算原创。Originality — a genuinely new question, or an examination of an unverified conjecture, with the background literature cited. The committee states explicitly that a problem already well known to the field, merely unknown to the team, does not count as original.
- 解法的创造性 —— 照搬现成方法的报告竞争力不足。Creativity of the solution — reports that simply apply an off-the-shelf method are not competitive.

- 团队成员均须发言 —— 答辩不能由一人包办。Every team member must speak — one person cannot carry the defence.
- 应用数学方向须使结论与应用主题真正相关 —— 不能只是套一个应用外壳。For applied work, the conclusions must genuinely bear on the application — an applied wrapper around unrelated mathematics does not qualify.
第二条对建模背景的同学尤其重要：数学建模竞赛里「用已知方法把一个现实问题做好」是加分的，但在丘奖数学奖里，评委要的是数学方法上的新东西。如果你打算把一篇建模论文改投丘奖，通常需要往「这个方法本身有什么新的」方向重做，而不是换个格式提交。The second criterion matters especially if you come from modeling contests. There, applying a known method well to a real problem earns marks; here the judges want something new in the mathematics. Turning a modeling paper into a Yau Award entry usually means reworking it towards "what is new about the method", not reformatting it.
学术规范与 AI 使用新规Academic integrity and the 2026 AI rules
查重红线：重复率超过 10% 直接取消参赛资格。这是官网参赛规则的明文规定，且不设申辩空间。引用他人内容必须规范标注，不得大段照抄。A similarity score above 10% voids the entry outright. This is stated plainly in the official rules, with no discretion attached. Quotation must be properly attributed; wholesale copying is not permitted.
AI 使用规定（2026 年 7 月 8 日发布）：AI 只是辅助工具。
可以用于：语言润色、代码调试、文献检索、结构梳理、数据分析、草图绘制 —— 所有结果都须人工核验。
禁止：由 AI 撰写正文、编造参考文献或实验数据、隐瞒 AI 的使用。
披露义务：须在致谢中写明工具名称、版本、用途、使用时间与频次，并提交对话记录备查。违规按学术不端处理。AI rules, issued 8 July 2026: AI is an auxiliary tool.
Permitted: language polishing, debugging, literature search, structuring, data analysis and sketching — all outputs to be checked by hand.
Forbidden: AI writing the body of the report, fabricating references or experimental data, and concealing that AI was used.
Disclosure: the acknowledgements must name the tool, its version, what it was used for, and when and how often — and the conversation logs must be submitted for inspection. Breaches are treated as academic misconduct.

这套 AI 规定比大多数竞赛都具体，特别是「提交对话记录备查」一条。如果你打算在研究过程中使用 AI，请从一开始就有意识地保存记录，而不是在提交前回头去拼凑。These rules are more specific than most contests', particularly the requirement to hand over the conversation logs. If you intend to use AI in the research, start keeping those records from the outset rather than reconstructing them before submission.

2025 年颁奖典礼于 12 月 7 日在清华大学举行，全球 700 余所中学参赛，共颁出 62 项奖；诺特数学奖于该年正式纳入竞赛框架。The 2025 ceremony was held at Tsinghua on 7 December, with entries from over 700 schools worldwide and 62 awards presented; the Noether Mathematics Award joined the framework that year.
