官网没有给出一段正式的「MCM 与 ICM 有何本质区别」的定义性文字，只给了题号归属与上面这组题型标签。中文圈流传的各种区别说法多为经验总结，参考即可。实际选题时更有用的判断是：你的队伍擅长什么 —— C 题吃数据处理与统计能力，A/B 题吃数学推导与算法，D/E/F 题吃跨学科建模与论证写作。COMAP publishes no formal statement of "how MCM differs from ICM" — only the problem numbering above and those type labels. The distinctions circulating in Chinese forums are experience, not doctrine. The more useful question when choosing is what your team is good at: C rewards data handling and statistics, A and B reward derivation and algorithms, D/E/F reward interdisciplinary modeling and argued writing.
这场比赛在考什么What is actually being judged
和 HiMCM 一样，题目没有标准答案。评委关心的是：问题重述是否准确、假设是否有理由、模型是否与问题匹配、有没有做灵敏度分析与检验、局限讨论是否诚实、以及摘要页（Summary Sheet）能否让人一页读懂你做了什么。官方 Tips 文档反复强调摘要页的重要性。As in HiMCM, there is no answer key. 两个容易混淆的点。其一：竞赛结束（20:00）与提交截止（21:00）是两个不同时刻，中间只有一小时，很多中文资料把两者混为一谈。其二：官网只给起止时刻，没有写「99 小时」；99 小时是按起止时刻推算出来的，不是官方表述。北京时间换算同样是推算，最终请以官网 EST 原文为准。Two things that get conflated. First, the end of the contest (8 pm) and the submission deadline (9 pm) are different moments, an hour apart — much Chinese material merges them. Second, COMAP publishes only the start and end times, never a figure of "99 hours"; that number is arithmetic, not official. The Beijing conversions above are likewise arithmetic — the EST times on COMAP's page govern.

参赛资格Eligibility
- 每队最多 3 名学生，须为同一所学校在读，不限院系与专业。Up to three students per team, all currently enrolled at the same school; any department or programme.
- 每名学生一年只能参加一支队伍。A student may be on only one team.
- 官网原文：竞赛面向所有本科生与高中生（open to all undergraduate and high school students）—— 中文圈常说的「美赛只限本科生」与官网不符。COMAP's wording: the contest is open to all undergraduate and high school students. The common Chinese claim that MCM/ICM is undergraduates-only is not what the official page says.
- 每队必须有一名指导教师（Advisor）。官网明确：本校的任何教职工或学生都可以担任这一角色，必要时队员本人也可以。Every team needs an advisor. COMAP states explicitly that any faculty member, staff member or student at the team's institution may fill the role — including, if necessary, a team member.
- 学校可注册的队伍数量不限，一名指导教师可带的队伍数量也不限。There is no cap on the number of teams a school may register, nor on the number one advisor may register.
注意区分：这里说的「高中生也可参加 MCM/ICM」是官网原文；但对中学生而言，COMAP 另设有专门的 HiMCM / MidMCM，题目与评审都更贴合中学阶段，通常是更合适的选择。Note the distinction: COMAP does say high-school students may enter MCM/ICM. But COMAP also runs HiMCM / MidMCM specifically for secondary students, where both the problems and the judging are pitched at that level — usually the better fit.

允许Allowed
- 使用任何非生命（inanimate）资源：计算机、软件、书籍、论文、研究报告、数据库、网页等。Any "inanimate" resource: computers, software, books, articles, research reports, databases, web pages.
- 引用他人的方法、数据与结论 —— 但必须行内标注并列入参考文献。Drawing on other people's methods, data and conclusions — with in-text citation and a reference list.
- 按官方 AI 政策使用 AI 工具（见下）。Using AI tools in the way COMAP's AI policy requires (see below).
禁止Not allowed
- 向队外任何人寻求答案、思路或信息 —— 官网点名包括指导教师、其他教师、其他学生、任何专家；限制涵盖当面、电话与社交媒体。Seeking answers, ideas or information from anyone outside the team — COMAP names the advisor, other teachers, other students and experts; the ban covers in-person contact, telephone and social media.
- 竞赛期间以任何形式、任何媒介发布或分享题目原文、解题过程或任何部分成果。Posting or sharing, in any form or medium during the contest, the problem statement, your solution process, or any part of your work.
- 抄袭，或未标注来源地使用他人内容。Plagiarism, or using anyone else's content without attribution.
AI 使用政策：官方 Contest AI Policy 要求队伍对 AI 的使用「公开而诚实」，且明确包括嵌入式 AI（数学软件、翻译软件、代码助手等）。四项义务：①在报告中说明用了哪些 AI 工具、具体模型与用途；②核实 AI 生成内容与其引用的准确性；③按规范给出引用与参考文献；④对抄袭风险保持警惕。

2表单需要填的内容What the form asks for队伍控制号、指导教师编号（Advisor ID）、所选题目、是否使用了 AI 工具，以及上传论文 PDF。Team control number, advisor ID number, problem choice, whether AI tools were used, and the PDF upload.
3每队只能提交一次，且不会收到确认邮件One submission per team, and no confirmation email官网明确 NO email confirmations will be sent。因此提交前务必反复核对文件与表单内容，提交后请自行保存表单完成页的截图。COMAP states plainly: "NO email confirmations will be sent." 中文资料里偶尔出现的「Leonhard 奖」与「Euler 奖」其实是同一个 Leonhard Euler Award，官网并无单独的 Leonhard Award。Chinese sources sometimes list a "Leonhard Award" and an "Euler Award" separately; they are one award, the Leonhard Euler Award. COMAP lists no separate Leonhard Award.
备赛与站内资源Preparing, and resources on this site
- 分工先定。三人队伍的典型分工是建模、编程、写作各有主责，但三人都要理解模型 —— 写作的人若不懂模型，摘要页一定写不好。Agree the roles first. A team of three typically has a lead on modelling, on coding and on writing — but all three must understand the model, because a writer who doesn't cannot produce a good summary sheet.
- 模板提前做好。论文模板、页眉（控制号 + 页码）、参考文献格式、图表样式，赛前全部准备完毕，赛中不要浪费时间在排版上。Build the template in advance. Paper template, running header with control number and page number, citation style, figure style — all done before the contest, so no contest time goes on formatting.
- 整题演练至少一次。用往年真题按真实时限走一遍，比读十篇优秀论文更有效。Do at least one full dress rehearsal on a past problem under real time pressure — worth more than reading ten winning papers.
- 睡觉。四天多的赛程里，通宵换来的代码质量通常抵不上第二天的返工成本。Sleep. Over four days, the code written through the night usually costs more to fix than it saved.

常见问题FAQ
到底是多少小时？How many hours is it exactly?
官网只公布起止时刻（2027 年为 1 月 28 日 17:00 EST 至 2 月 1 日 20:00 EST），没有写小时数。按此推算是 99 小时，但这是推算不是官方表述。真正要记住的是：20:00 停止工作，21:00 提交截止。COMAP publishes only the start and end times (for 2027: 5:00 pm EST on 28 January to 8:00 pm EST on 1 February) and no hour count. The arithmetic gives 99 hours, but that figure is not official. What matters is: stop working at 8 pm, submit by 9 pm.
指导教师可以帮忙吗？Can the advisor help?
不可以。官网在禁止条款中点名了指导教师：不得向包括指导教师在内的队外任何人寻求答案、思路或信息。指导教师的作用是赛前培训与赛务管理。No. COMAP's prohibition names the advisor explicitly: no answers, ideas or information may be sought from anyone outside the team, the advisor included. The advisor's role is pre-contest training and administration.
附录和代码算在 25 页里吗？Do appendices and code count towards the 25 pages?
算。官网明确 25 页包含摘要页、正文、参考文献、目录、注释、附录与代码。唯一不计入的是 AI 使用报告（Report on Use of AI Tools）。Yes. COMAP states that the 25 pages include summary sheet, solution, references, table of contents, notes, appendices and code. The only exception is the "Report on Use of AI Tools".
提交后没收到确认邮件，是不是失败了？No confirmation email arrived — did it fail?
官网明确说明不会发送确认邮件。因此判断依据是提交表单最后的完成页面，请当场截图保存。COMAP states explicitly that no confirmation emails are sent. The completion page of the form is your evidence — screenshot it at the time.
高中生真的能参加美赛吗？Can high-school students really enter?
官网原文确实写着面向所有本科生与高中生。但对中学生来说，COMAP 的 HiMCM / MidMCM 在题目难度与评审尺度上都更贴合，通常是更合适的入口。The official page does say the contest is open to all undergraduate and high-school students. That said, COMAP's HiMCM / MidMCM is pitched at secondary level in both problems and judging, and is usually the better entry point.
一个学校能报多少队？How many teams can one school enter?
官网明确不限：学校可注册的队伍数量不限，一名指导教师能带的队伍数量也不限。每队单独缴费 100 美元、单独获得控制号。No limit, per COMAP: neither the number of teams a school may register nor the number one advisor may register is capped. Each team pays its own US$100 and gets its own control number.
